Tracy's Big Idea

Mosaic tile is a very durable, creative and fun way to renew a bathroom or kitchen. Use it on counters, walls, mirrors or floors,  in solids or desiged into patterns, the options are endless and it is perfect way to show off your true style.

 

Amber's Two Cents

Safe-T-Shade - With the recent regulations regarding roller shades and the need to avoid hazards with cords, this shade is not only meets the specification, but is also customizable.  Choose a regular or a solar fabric for the life-shade base, then pick out a fabric suitable for your room  decor and...  voila! A safe, beautiful shade that's so easy to use.

This month Laura and Tracy ventured to Chicago for the Healthcare Facilities Symposium.  They had a great time and leaned a lot about the complex field of design for Healthcare facilities.  These were their two favorite companies from the show:

Laura's Favorite Find

Centiva is a vinyl flooring company like we have never seen before.  The product comes in many different styles such as stone, wood, texture and the colors are vibrant.  They have a custom program that will create shapes and patterns with the different materials and they will pre-cut and label all of the parts so that the installation will be a breeze.  This product is so beautiful that it can be used in commercial as well as residential. We are looking forward to using in on future jobs.

Tracy's Big Idea
Ceiling Scenes is a company that makes custom ceiling tiles that create a scene on the ceiling.  The fiberglass tiles with the picture on the outside replace the cover that would normally go over the fluorescent light.  It creates a warm inviting atmosphere in a commercial setting and in doctor's offices it gives the patient something to focus on when lying back in the chair.  This company has an exclusive contract with National Geographic photos and they can put scenes from Where's Waldo on the ceiling.  This is a fun company that brings a softer side to healthcare.

Solid surface table top and plywood work surface are available to accommodate work, lounge and play applications.
Molecule can be combined into an endless array of configurations and are designed to simply reconfigure on the fly to respond to changing needs. Can be upholstered with vinyl, faux leather, leather and woven textiles. The possibilities are endless.

The Perfect Family Coffee Table
For those of you that are interested in a hassock as a coffee table, this table is perfect for you. The top is upholstered with fabric or leather but it has a tray sunk into the middle for stability with liquids. The sleek legs create and elegant look but the top makes it perfect for a busy family room. And you don't need to worry about young children bumping there heads.

Amber's Two Cents

We asked our admin Amber what she liked this month and she said the Omipod by Cranberryclouds

Designed after the conventional beanbag chair, the Omipod (pronounced 'Oh My Pod') is a more stylish, permanent piece of furniture than the original beanbag. With or without legs, the base is very durable and can be covered in a variety of leathers and fabrics. Laura's Favorite Finds

The LiteRise Vignette has transformed the world of roman shades. This shade is a cordless system that is controlled by slightly pulling down on the bottom and slightly pushing up on the bottom to move it up. There are no visible cords in the back of the shade therefore it meets the new child safety standards. It has a roman shade look on the front and there are many fabric styles to choose from. It is extremely easy to use and it's family friendly.

Tracy's Big Idea

This trapeze like product can do wonders for a commercial space. If your ceiling lacks luster or the florescent lighting doesn't suit your atmosphere, hang a few of these and transform the room.

Tracy's Big Idea

More and more people are selecting hard flooring surfaces now then ever before. Meaning people prefer hardwood floors over carpeting because the value it adds to the home and it will last longer. Therefore, people are buying area rugs for comfort next to the furniture but they can still see the floor next to it. An area rug is a great way to add pattern and color into the room. If you feel like the space is missing some flare, a colorful rug or one that has an interesting pattern can add some focus and intrigue. Personally I have a love for animal prints so I chose a great animal print that has an aged look and would be very eye catching for a room that needs some spice. Get in touch with your wild side.
